Napton Parish Council is considering producing a Neighbourhood Plan and has invited a representative from Stratford District Council to come and talk about the process and answer any questions we might have. The date is set for Thursday 26th Jan 2017 at 7.30pm in the village hall.
A Neighbourhood Plan will help us, as a community, decide how we would like our village to look in 20 years’ time and will deal with topics such as open spaces, recreation, housing, community assets (pubs, shops, schools etc.) and transport. With the large number of developments proposed in the area e.g. 1500 homes at Grandborough and 500+ on the main road into Southam the need for a document which would enable us to resist inappropriate development and influence how we want our village to look in the future is increasingly important.
So where do you come in? We need a group of volunteers who are prepared to give up a few hours each month to help move the process forward. We’ll need help to consult local groups, businesses and organisations and record and collate the responses. We will be engaging the services of planning consultants so we will get plenty of support.
If you think you might be able to help PLEASE come along to the meeting and find out more. We can only do this if we work together and share the work load. It’s the future of your village so you should have a say. If you can come along, please let Jayne Warman know so we can provide refreshments. email@example.com 01926 815081
