FOR THE PARISH OF NAPTON ON THE HILL
NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, that a vacancy exists in the office of Parish Councillor for the Parish of Napton on the Hill, by reason of the resignation of Councillor Sean Featherstone on 18th October 2017.
Any ten local government electors for the Parish may require an election to be held to fill the said vacancy. To do this, they must send a written request to the Returning Officer, Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, which must reach him not later than Monday 13th November 2017. No set form of words is necessary.
If sufficient requests are received by the Returning Officer, an election will be held. If there are no or insufficient requests are received, the vacancy will be filled in due course by co-option by the remaining members of the Parish Council.
If you are interested in finding out more about the role please contact the Clerk, Jayne Warman on 01926 815081 or email email@example.com
Parish Council meetings are held every month on the first Monday of each month (unless it is a Bank Holiday, when it is usually the second Monday) at 7.30pm in Napton Village Hall.
Members of the Public are welcome to attend any Parish Council meeting and will be allowed to address the Parish Council on matters of concern during an Open Forum at the beginning of each meeting.
Planning matters are normally dealt with at our regular monthly meetings, but occasionally there is a need for a separate meeting in which case the date will be published on the Parish Notice board and on this website – further details can be obtained from Jayne Warman our clerk
